Our first EP, ‘Deliverance’ is out now! Deliverance is a collection of songs that we've written for the Church to sing in praise and worship. The songs are based on truth we find in Scripture such as God's sovereignty, our sin and desperate need for Him, and His steadfast love and grace to save us.
Deliverance was crowdfunded by a number of incredibly generous donors. We are so grateful for their support.
Our first Music Project, "Come & Know Me", is a collection of eight original songs, entwined with scripture, crafted to present the gospel. This project was designed to take the listener on a journey through the heart beat of Christ's time on earth.
Our aim is to present the gospel through music, based on how it is told in the Bible.
We believe that the Bible presents the gospel in the following way:
We, as humans, have all sinned and fallen short of God's glorious standard (Romans 3:23).
Our sin caused us to be separated from God (Colossians 1:21).
God sent his son Jesus down to earth as a man (John 1:14, Philippians 2:5-7).
Jesus lived a perfect life, setting the ultimate example of how we should live (1 Peter 2:21-22, Ephesians 5:1-2).
The penalty of sin is death, so Jesus became sin and paid its penalty by dying on the Cross on behalf of all humanity (Romans 6:23, Romans 5:6-8,
2 Corinthians 5:21).
Jesus defeated sin and death by rising again after three days (Mark 16:4-6).
Now, there is nothing separating us from God. All that is needed is for us to confess our sins to God and believe that Jesus died and rose again to pay the penalty for our sin (1 John 1:9-10, Romans 8:1-4, Romans 10:9).
God gives his free gift of eternal life to us, if we believe (Romans 6:23, 1 John 5:10-12, John 3:16-18).
The purpose of "Come & Know Me" is to present the gospel in a way that is not watered down by any other ideas or distractions. The Bible is clear about the harsh reality of our sin and the separation from God it causes, and we don't want to dilute this in any way. However, the Bible is also clear about the extravagant love of God, that he would send his only Son to pay the penalty for the sin of all humanity. Both of these truths are vital for us to truly grasp the full message of the gospel.
What it looks like live
When we present "Come & Know Me" live, each person is given a booklet to accompany our music. This contains a collection of scripture alongside the lyrics to each song, providing the listeners with a Biblical base. Our priority for this project was basing our music on scripture, within its context. God has spoken his own words to us through the Bible, and we don't want to neglect this in any way.
What it looks like in a church service
Come & Know Me can be used in a church service setting. In the past, we have used it as a reflective communion service, where the congregation can reflect on the message of the gospel. We often conclude these services with well-known congregational songs for people to respond in praise to God. We'd love to join with your church in spreading the gospel message.
